U Street in Washington D.C. is known for its vibrant culture and world famous restaurants. This same street however due to its popularity has the reality of a lack of parking. Henok, recognized this as an opportunity to service the community and embark on his life long dream. The first asset acquired by U Street Parking was incorporated in 1998. The facility was a 30 space self parking lot in which patrons paid $2.00 per vehicle. Almost a decade later and an increase demand for parking U Street Parking Inc., has matured into the leading minority owned parking management firm in the country. (LSBDE Certified District of Columbia, MBE Certified State of Maryland and Virginia) Our portfolio includes ownership and operation of surface self parking lots and management of over 52 valet parking locations from world class eateries such as Fogo de Chao, to the world’s most famous entertainment venue The Park at Fourteen.

Through proper utilization of solid business systems and procedures revenue and cost control is achieved. At U Street Parking we utilize state of the art accounting equipment. Over the years we have acquired and worked with Parking Revenue equipments such as Amano, Ski Data, WPS, ACS, Data Park, Ziag, CTR, Parking Soft, ACS, Federal APD, and more.
